Haven (later "New Prentisstown") is one of the settlements on New World alongside Prentisstown.
Description[]
The main city of Haven is made out of wood. Haven has a cathedral and multiple houses and buildings in the city. Away from the main antennae used for contacting ships in the distance from the city.

Todd and Viola find Haven at the end of the novel; they find that Mayor Prentiss has taken over Haven and renamed it "New Prentisstown". David becomes its president and makes it the capital of New World, wanting to prepare it for the new settler ships to arrive.
The Ask and the Answer[]
New Prentisstown is the main location for book two. The war between the Ask and the Answer starts in New Prentisstown.
Monsters of Men[]
The revamped Spackle War takes place in New Prentisstown.
Chaos Walking (film)[]
Haven/New Prentisstown was cut out of the film adaptation of The Knife of Never Letting Go.
Trivia[]
- Haven and Farbranch are unheard of at the beginning of the trilogy, giving the illusion that Prentisstown in the only settlement on New World.
- Haven is the largest settlement on New World.
- It is unknown why Haven was cut out of Chaos Walking (2021).
